Online games can be played by with other players. These games usually require an internet connection when playing with others. There are different types of online games. The grand majority of these games fall under a category. I will focus on two categories: Battle Royale and Co-op games.
Battle royale games involve players to fight each other until one person or team is left and declared the winner. These games ussually have a large number of players in a match. The game has the players go to an island and once they reach it, the player must look for weapons in order to fight others. If the player dies they have to go into another match, some games allow the player to respawn or get revived by teammates.
Fortnite Battle Royale was released on September 26, 2017 and took the world by storm. It introduced the building mechanic that allowed players to defend themselvess from enemy fire. Other Battle Royale games during this time were trying to have realistic gameplay and didn't have this feature. The game is free to play and getting money only from cosmeteics.Fortnite reamins a prime example of the Battle Royale genre.

A Way Out is a two player, Co-op game. The game is about two prisoners that escape prison. The two prisoners work together to take down a mafia boss that ruined their lives. The game makes the players work together and make decisions that affect the game. The game has multiple activities the players can partake to entertain themselves. These activities include playing Chess, Connect Four, arm wrestling, Basketball etc. This game in particular, has multiple endings that depend on what choices both players made.
